Gone Swimmin'

Robby and I spent Friday taking the dogs to their favorite swimming park. Swimming isn't really allowed, but there's never anyone there to say otherwise, and no one for the dogs to jump on so they can roam freely.

Siding Colors

We are getting much needed new siding (hopefully on Monday!). We've already picked our color, but I thought it would be fun to see what you all think we should choose?

Here's what our house looks like now....

Here are the colors we had to choose from. I'll let you know what we chose after it's put on next week!

Catch Me If You Can!

Every year that Robby comes to visit, he's another year older (duh!). And so is Lucy. And every year I swear they act the same age. Last year they would pretend to be sleeping...I would hear them wrestling, open the door to tell them to be quite and go to bed, and they would both freeze and close their eyes pretending they weren't doing anything wrong!

This year they both give me attitude when I ask them to do things they would rather not, and they still wrestle and give each other a hard time...and me an even harder one!

Miniature Sunflowers

This summer we experimented with planting some seeds instead of spending $200+ in flowers from our favorite store, Home Depot. I was skeptical that anything would grow, but boy was I wrong! One type of seed I planted was supposed to be "miniature, multi-colored sun flowers." I thought that sounded nice, so I planted them between some hostas and petunias. I had NO idea that miniature sunflowers are 6+ feet tall! How tall are real sunflowers?? So far we have a standard yellow, a deep red and a light yellow, so multi-colored was accurate. Had I know they would be this big I would have planted them in a more appropriate spot, but instead we have a wall of sunflowers.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July party last weekend. I took before pictures, but NONE of the people at the actual party...lame, I know.
Robby and Jamie did some festive decorating.
And wrestling!
